Jack Wallace collection of Amalgamated Lithographers of America records, 1946-1968.

This collection primarily consists of Jack Wallace's collection of records of the Amalgamated Lithographers of America (ALA) from the late 1940s through the 1950s before it became the Lithographers and Photoengravers International Union (LPIU) or its successor, the Graphics Arts International Union. The collection consists of the union records including general and local union correspondence, memoranda, and statistical reports regarding jurisdiction disputes, organizational and legal matters relating to elections, injunctions and the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). Other materials provide contract information relating to over two dozen local unions in ten western states and provinces of the United States and Canada, member education, expenses, international council meetings (1949-1961), NLRB cases and decisions, payroll receipts (1961-1971), and undated personnel files. Approximately one-third of the collection relates to union conferences, conventions, and statistical surveys.
